A (predictably silly) story in the Daily Mail shows some interesting computer-generated 3-D images of Cleopatra.  Based on ancient (propagandistic?) iconography, they don’t seem likely to be terrifically accurate (the write-up is somewhat breathless about the “discovery” that she didn’t really look like Elizabeth Taylor after all!).  And I get a little tired of the common dispute over whether or not she was really beautiful, when Plutarch, anyway, is pretty clear that her charms were in her voice and manner, rather than her looks.  But the pictures are still fun to look at.
